The Express Yourself Mums Guarantee and returns policy

If any Express Yourself Mums product does not meet with your approval, please return it to us within 7 days, in an unused and re-sellable condition with all packaging fully intact, and we'll be happy to make a refund or exchang (excluding sale items which are non-returnable unless faulty or sent in error). Please note that we will be unable to refund or exchange any breast pumps, breastpump accessories, Motherlove products nor SPANX underwear as they are products related to personal hygiene. This guarantee does not affect your statutory rights, governed by the EU Distance Selling Directive which is part of UK law under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.


Special note about Breast pumps


All breast pumps (only motor unit and adaptor) are covered by either a 6 or 12 month guarantee (depending on the pump) against any faults, and will be either replaced or repaired free of charge in case of any fault during this period*. Under these circumstances the breastpump motor must be confirmed as faulty by the manufacturer.  You will need to contact us PRIOR to returning the item. Please email us on info@expressyourselfmums.co.uk  detailing the issue you may be experiencing.

PLEASE NOTE that unless faulty, we will not be able to exchange or refund any used breastpumps so we strongly advise seeking advice from Express Yourself Mums or your healthcare professional before making your purchase. It is worth noting that if you have been using a hospital grade breast pump (including Elite, Lactina, Symphony or Kitett), you may experience poor results by either changing brand or by using a less powerful pump of the same brand.

*If a replacement or cover pump is necessary and authorised, this will be dispatched at customers own cost.
Please note that faulty breastpumps outside of the UK mainland will also need to be returned for testing at customers own
cost.

Please ensure that you check your order as soon as it has been delivered for all accessories and parts and that the correct items have beed disaptched. Although we thoroughly check each order  - occasionally mistakes can happen within the manufacturing process. Once your order has been delivered to you we offer you 7 days to contact us and rectify any problems like e.g. missing items or mistakes. Please follow the process outlined below for Returning or Exchanging an  Item.

How to Return or Exchange an item:

If you would like to return an item and it is unused and re-sellable, please email us at info@expressyourselfmums.co.uk requesting a RAN (Returns Authorisation Number).
 In this email please include:
* your name
* your address including postcode
* your Order number
* the reason for wanting to return the item.
* if your are wanting to exchange an item please detail what you would like to exchange if for.
 
We will then email you back with the RAN.

Please repack the item securely in its original packaging and send it to us at the following address:

Please include your name and the order number in the package, so that we can identify you easily. Please also let us know the reason for returning the goods.

Please note that goods are returned at your own cost unless faulty or sent to you in error (UK Mainland only), and we strongly recommend that you use recorded post as you are responsible for returned items until they reach our premises. We are only able to refund or exchange items which are received into our warehouse, and can accept no responsibility for any damage or loss that occurs during transit.

We will contact you once we have received the package to tell you that your return is being processed. Please allow 2-3 weeks for processing the refund or exchange.

Also, please note that we have a right to charge you for postage on exchange items, especially if we are sending outside of mainland UK. We will advise you of this when you contact us regarding your exchange.
 
If you received a free gift with your unwanted item this must also be returned unopened. If you wish to keep it for whatever reason we will deduct its value from your refund/ exchange amount.

Please note that our payment processing system only allows us to refund the card on which the original transaction was made. We are also unable to refund Postage and Packaging costs for returned items unless faulty or sent to you in error (UK Mainland only). If unwanted items with free postage are returned to us for a refund, we will deduct our original postage cost from your total refund (maximum £7.50). 

If you are replacing an electrical item, we are happy to take back the item you are replacing and dispose of it for you. Please send the item back to us at you own cost so we are able to dispose of it through the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive. We offer this service free of charge. Please follow this link for more information.

How to Return an Item that is Faulty:

If you think your item is faulty, please email us on info@expressyourselfmums.co.uk detailing the fault and including the following information:
* your name
* your address including postcode
* your Order number
* what the fault is
* whether you require an exchange or a refund.

We will then respond with details on how to return the item. Some items are returned directly to the manufacturer, so please do not send any goods to use unless you have received instruction to do so. If the item is faulty we will refund your return postage costs.
 

Delivery timescales for Mainland UK:

We use Royal Mail for deliveries (except breast pump hire, where next working day couriers are used). Standard delivery is by 1st class and the delivery timescale is 1-5 working days.

Privacy Policy

When you shop Express Yourself Mums, there are different ways we gather information about you:
  • When you register with us, we ask for information such as your name, e-mail address, delivery address, contact details and, if you place an order, your credit card details which are encrypted so that they cannot be seen. We keep a record of this information, although do not store credit card details at any point in time. All this is necessary for us to recognise you as a registered customer and to fulfill the orders you place with us.
  • We keep a record of your purchases with us; this means we can send you the most relevant offers. It also means we can deal a lot quicker with any problems you may experience with your order.
  • We keep a record of any e-mail correspondence you send us. This helps us keep track of any problems or concerns you've had with our products or services..

How we use your personal data

We do occasionally make names and addresses available to companies whose products we think may interest you, unless you have told us not to. If you do not wish to receive such offers please email us at info@expressyourselfmums.co.uk with your name and address.
