Manual Breastumps for Expressing Breastmilk when Breastfeeding

Manual breastpumps are useful for expressing the occasional feed if you have to leave your baby for a few hours. They are the most inexpensive type of breastpump, but are not recommended for frequent expression of breastmilk as it might be quite tiring for the hand muscles! The most advanced of the manual breastpumps have the facility to stimulate the Milk Ejection Reflex as well as an expression mode to withdraw the milk.
