Medela’s hospital grade breastpump available for purchase to members of the public. It features Medela’s breakthrough 2-phase technology which mimics baby’s feeding rhythm to promote faster let-down and higher milk yield. This pump is particularly suitable for very active mums who might be returning to work, or for mums needing to express exclusively or for long periods, or for mums who need to increase their milk yield. You can also use it as a single pump if you would like to feed your baby whilst expressing - just make sure the free tube connector is blocked to avoid loss of suction.

Pump In Style Features:

  • One-touch ‘let-down’ button for faster milk flow
  • Customized pumping with adjustable speed and vacuum control
  • microfibre backpack
  • double pumping accessory kit
  • manual breastpump conversion kit
  • removable cooler carrier pack witb freezer pack
  • battery pack (can use standard or rechargable batteries)
  • 4 collection containers and lids
  • UK AC Mains Adapter

Pump In Style® Advanced has 2-Phase Expression® which imitates the baby's natural sucking rhythm and is therefore comfortable and efficient. The innovative technology is based on state-of-the-art research and brings the breastfeeding mother all-round comfort and convenience. What this means is that when you switch the pump on the suction is fast and fairly light, however as soon you see that your milk is beginning to come through you can manually switch the pump to the second phase of extracting the milk; a slower deeper suction.

About 2-Phase Expression®

Babies change the way they suckle at a mother’s breast during breastfeeding. Initially, they suck rapidly to stimulate the milk ejection reflex (MER) and induce milk “let-down”. This phase is referred to as “Stimulation”. Once the milk starts flowing, they settle into a more relaxed sucking speed. This phase is called “Expression”.

The Pump In Style comes with everything you need to express, however you may like to buy some spare parts to use with your pump. Our recommendation is to have double or even triple of the collection sets to make it easier and save time cleaning (especially if you are pumping more than once a night, you can have clean sets ready for every time you need to express. These can be found here
