The Express Yourself Mums Guarantee

If any Express Yourself Mums product does not meet with your approval, please return it to us within 28 days, in an unused and re-saleable condition, and we'll be happy to make a refund or exchange. Please note that we will be unable to refund or exchange any breastpump accessories nor SPANX underwear as they are products related to personal hygiene. This guarantee does not affect your statutory rights, governed by the EU Distance Selling Directive which is part of UK law under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000.

Special note about Breastpumps


All breastpumps (motor unit and adaptor) are covered by either a 6 or 12 month guarantee (depending on the pump) against any faults, and will be either replaced or repaired free of charge in case of any fault during this period*. Under these circumstances the breastpump motor must be confirmed as faulty by the manufacturer.  You will need to contact us PRIOR to returning the item.
PLEASE NOTE that unless faulty, we will not be able to exchange or refund any used breastpumps so we strongly advise seeking advice from Express Yourself Mums or your healthcare professional before making your purchase. It is worth noting that if you have been using a hospital grade breast pump (including Elite, Lactina, Symphony, Pump In Style or Kitett), you may experience poor results by either changing brand or by using a less powerful pump of the same brand.

*If a replacement or cover pump is necessary this will be dispatched at customers own cost.
Please note that faulty breastpumps outside of the UK mainland will also need to be returned for testing at customers own cost.

How to return or exchange

Please include your name and the order number in the package, so that we can identify you easily. Please also let us know the reason for returning the goods.

Please note that goods are returned at your own cost unless faulty or sent to you in error (UK Mainland only), and we strongly recommend that you use recorded post as you are responsible for returned items until they reach our premises. We are only able to refund or exchange items which are received into our warehouse, and can accept no responsibility for any damage that occurs during transit.

We will contact you once we have received the package to tell you that your return is being processed. Please allow 2-3 weeks for processing the refund or exchange.

Also, please note that we have a right to charge you for postage on exchange items, especially if we are sending outside of mainland UK. We will advise you of this when you contact us regarding your exchange.

If you received a free gift with your unwanted item this must also be returned unopened. If you wish to keep it for whatever reason we will deduct its value from your refund/ exchange amount.

Please note that our payment processing system only allows us to refund the card on which the original transaction was made. We are also unable to refund Postage and Packaging costs for returned items unless faulty or sent to you in error (UK Mainland only). If unwanted items with free postage are returned to us for a refund, we will deduct our original postage cost from your total refund (maximum £7.50). 

If you are replacing an electrical item, we are happy to take back the item you are replacing and dispose of it for you. Please send the item back to us at you own cost so we are able to dispose of it through the Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive. We offer this service free of charge. Please follow this link for more information.

Delivery areas, timescales and charges

If you order online and require delivery to UK Mainland addresses (excluding highlands), delivery will be via either Home Delivery Network, UK Mail or Royal Mail,  depending on the weight of your order. 

If you require delivery to an address in the highlands, delivery will be via Royal Mail 1st Class.

For the standard delivery timescales and charges, please see Delivery Details at the bottom of this page. 

Please note that unfortunately we are unable to deliver any items to BFPO and PO Box addresses.

Redeliveries

In the case that an incorrect postal address is supplied to us or no one is home to collect a parcel, we cannot be responsible for covering costs of a redelivery, and if a charge is made, we will need to pass this on to you.

What happens if my item doesn't arrive?

Very occasionally a parcel might go astray. We despatch everything within 24 hours, stock permitting (but no despatches on Saturday, Sunday or Public Holidays). In the unlikely event that a parcel cannot be traced, we will re-despatch it for you upon confirmation from our courier that the parcel has been lost.

In the event that your parcel has been dispatched via Royal Mail 1st Class we must allow 15 working days to deem the item lost before we are able to resend or refund (as per Royal Mails terms and conditions).

Images

Sometimes our products may be subject to minor design changes and therefore may differ slightly from images provided. We endeavour to keep our product information and images as up-to-date as possible.

Privacy policy and data protection

The information we collect from you

When you place an order with us, we will take your name, e-mail address, delivery address, payment card details and a telephone number on which you can be contacted in the event of a query. As well as this information, we'll also keep records of any further emails you send us, which we will use to help improve the Express Yourself Mums service.

Privacy & disclosure of this information

Your card details are handled by our payment processing agent, Protx (see further information about Protx). When ordering online, neither Express Yourself Mums nor any of our other agents have access to your card details at any stage. If we take your order over the phone or via fax/post, we will destroy our record of your card details once we've made the transaction with Protx.
We do not and never will pass on your information onto 3rd party mailing lists! We do retain the right to submit any information requested by the law, in the UK or elsewhere.

Emails and other contact from Express Yourself Mums

By supplying your email address and contact phone number, you have given us your permission to email or phone you regarding any issue with your order or with the service we are providing you. Once your order is completed, we will only send you further Express Yourself Mums correspondence (e.g. Express Yourself Mums newsletters, notice of special offers etc) if you have opted to join our mailing list. If you would like to join the Express Yourself Mums mailing list just register by clicking “Join us” on any page.

At the moment we are only able to take online orders for delivery to addresses and countries listed on our website. The standard delivery charges and timescales are detailed below.

The standard delivery methods and timescales

Delivery timescales for Mainland UK

Orders placed by 12:00 are despatched same working day (save for circumstances beyond our control). Please allow 1 working day for Express delivery and 1-5 working days for Standard delivery.

For peace of mind if your order is extremely urgent, we recommend using our Express Delivery service (but please note that we make no guarantees on behalf of our couriers and in the case that your order is not delivered next day, no compensation will be due).

Standard delivery methods

We use two courier companies in an effort to ensure that we meet all our delivery targets. Delivery will be via Royal Mail or UK Mail, and the service used will depend on the weight of your order, the delivery service you select and your postal code.

Express delivery methods

Orders placed by 12:00 will be despatched same working day (save for circumstances beyond our control, in which case you will be kept fully informed). Delivery will be via Royal Mail Special Delivery or UK Mail 24 hour service, depending on the weight of your order.  

Although we make not guarantees on behalf of our couriers, the vast majority of orders are delivered the following working day.

All express deliveries require a signature.

Please note that Express Delivery is only available to customers in Mainland UK excluding Highlands.

Cost of postage for Standard UK deliveries:

Orders up to £10.00 will be charged at £2.50
Orders from £10.01 - £35 will be charged at £3.50
Orders from £35 - £149.99 will be charged at 10% of total order value (maximum charge £7.95)

There will be no charge for p&p on orders over £150 if the delivery address is mainland UK excluding Highlands. These orders will be sent via standard 72hr service. You will have the opportunity to upgrade to Express Delivery if your order is needed urgently.


Cost of Postage For Express Delivery:

There is a flat fee of £8.50 for Express Delivery. Unfortunately this service is not available for addresses outside mainland UK or addresses in the highlands.

Offshore & Highland Postcodes

Any orders weighing more than 2kg will need to be sent by courier, and may incur extra delivery charges. If this is the case, you will be contacted before despatch.

Cost of Postage to Non-Mainland UK

Orders up to £10.00 will be charged at £2.50
Orders from £10.01 - £35 will be charged at £3.50
Orders from £35.01 - £100.00 will be charged at 10% of total order value 
Orders from £100.01 and up will be charged at £22.00

Please note that there is no Express Delivery service available to non-mainland UK destinations.

European Deliveries
All orders weighing 2kg or less will be sent by Royal Mail International Signed For. Any orders weighing more than 2kg will need to be sent by International Courier, and may incur extra delivery charges to those below. If this is the case, you will be contacted before despatch. Please allow between 1 to 2 weeks for delivery. Please ensure you supply an address where there will be someone home to receive the package as redelivery may incur additional charges.

Cost of Postage to Europe

Orders up to £30.00 will be charged at £6.50
Orders from £30.01 to £50.00 will be charged at £12.00
Orders from £50.01 to £85.00 will be charged at £16.00
Orders from £85.01 and up will be charged at £35.00
