Express Yourself Mums (EYM) was set up as a central resource for information and products for pregnant and breastfeeding mothers and the healthcare professionals who support these mums. Through this EYM website, through working closely with healthcare professionals and the UK’s excellent breastfeeding charities, as well as through media campaigns and, in the coming years, through activities in schools, our aim is to help increase breastfeeding rates in the United Kingdom and ultimately help improve the health of the nation’s Children.

Launched in January 2005 as a labour of love, our website has quickly gained credibility amongst healthcare professionals, devoted customers and visitors to the site, with its unique mix of articles by international experts, and its inspiring product ranges from leading brands. Express Yourself Mums is also proud to be the exclusive distributor of the Easy Expression Bustier Bra, and the My Brest Friend breastfeeding pillow - which won the "Mother and Baby Gold Award" for Best Breastfeeding Product in 2007/2008.

Charitable giving is at the heart of our project. With every product sold on the ExpressYourselfMums.co.uk website money is donated to a relevant charity. As you browse through the product zone you’ll see that with most products we sell you can choose which charity to support from a list of twelve breastfeeding and baby charities.

Expressyourselfmums.co.uk is also a place where mums can share experiences – inspiring success stories and problems overcome – an on-line community with a positive twist. Indeed, we’d love for you to share you experiences and ideas on-line, to give your feedback on products and to tell your stories with the gritty honesty you’d share with your sister or best friend.

There are many reasons why some women struggle to breastfeed. We believe that his primarily boils down to a lack of information, mis-information, conflicting information and a general lack of support. Express Yourself Mums aims to bridge the gap between wanting to do it and actually doing it through support, unrivalled and objective expertise, access to excellent products, and most of all, good old-fashioned encouragement. The Information Zone, with its wide range of expert articles, is incredibly comprehensive. But often there is nothing that beats sitting down with real live breastfeeding mums and, if you are encountering a challenge, talking to an expert counsellor.

A couple of years ago, Express Yourself Mums was awarded a grant from UnLtd, a charity that supports social enterprise. We went through a highly competitive process to receive the Award and it has been fantastic to receive such great external recognition for the work we are trying to achieve in increasing breastfeeding rates in the UK and supporting breastfeeding mothers.

About us personally.......Carly, has just come back from maternity leave with her second child so after 15 months of back to back maternity leave Carly and Sharon are now both back working!  (By the end of this year we will have tested many of our products and are happy to share our experiences -check out product reviews). We have also recently moved to new warehouse premises which will allow us to grow and introduce even more wonderful exciting products to help enhance your pregnancy, birth and feeding experience.

We are also lucky to have on our team the lovely Janelle who manages all our Customer Service and Advice as well as Paulina who is in charge of Operations and Order Fulfillment.
