Collecting and Storing Breastmilk is a fairly easy and safe process as long as you follow some key guidelines relating to collection and storage.
Collection: If you are collecting for more or less immediate use, you can express straight into a bottle attached to the breastpump and then leave in the fridge. However, if you are exclusively expressing or needing to express and freeze the milk, you can either collect into the bottles and then transfer the milk, or collect straight into the breastmilk storage bags that can be attached straight onto the breast pump
